Spring Sprung
+ the 🗝️ to staying hydrated all summer long
As spring has come to a close, I thought I would do a subtack that serves as a note of gratitude for all that spring has brought.
Spring - a season of rebirth. A time when nature awakens with new growth and expansion - blooming, budding and longer days.
Sometimes it is refreshing to look back and just appreciate all that is. A celebration of being more grounded and connected.
Let this serve as an appreciation for your growth and expansion; for being open to learn more about non toxic living, for choosing healthier alternatives, for being present, for appreciating all of natures gifts. This is the art of non toxic living after all:)
May you appreciate these 5 simple, yet very meaningful and impactful, things & have them in abundance all summer long.
More access to nature
if you live in the Midwest you get it
Goslings in the park:
A moment of pause these mated ducks. I find it so endearing seeing them together in the park on my daily walks.
This owl family in the park. (The baby owl is curled up behind its mom.)
Not pictured: Meditations under the sun in the park. Seriously, fuel for my soul. There is something about the bird chirping, wind and feeling of the grass that grounds me.
Spring water
wink, wink
Well, you should really be drinking spring water all year round because…. ; however, I feel it deserves a special appreciation in spring if for no other reason than it is punny.
MASSIVE appreciation for the glass bottled water in the LAX airport. Why is it that so many airports in the US do not have a glass bottled water option? After all, hydrating is so important when you are flying. It frustrates me every time I fly and I cringe a little as I drink the from the plastic bottle ugh. :(
Restaurants that carry Mountain Valley!! If you are in LA, is an absolute MUST. We went back and had the same eat meal twice (plus a few extras of course -wink) because it was that good.
Thank you, Whole Foods of always . Yes, I am the woman struggling to lift all of these (very heavy) cases into my second grocery cart. On a second note, I am grateful that I did not hit anyone’s G-Wagon (because we were in Miami) while bringing these back to our car.
Flowers in the home!!

Benefits of heaving flowers in a home mentioned in Your Organic Lifestyle Guide
Obsessed with these chic vases (1 here, 2 here, 3 here).

Coconut Water
the new natural alternative to gatorade & electrolytes packets?
It has become a true addiction at this point. Why in a wine glass you ask? Because everything is better in a stemmed glass!
My husband is a recovery gatorade addict and has always sworn that he doesn’t feel hydrated unless he is drinking it. Gatorade is not allowed in my home so I have been on the hunt to find a natural thirst quench - this is her!! He is equally obsessed & I am oh so grateful to done arguing about his secret gatorade Postmates lol.
The organic coconut pictured above is from Erewhon and - very regrettably - there is an Erewhon in Chicago. I have found coconut water in a glass bottle (link) and organic coconut water in plastic (link) but no organic coconut water in a glass bottle. Ugh
Do you have organic coconut water in a glass bottle?
Gratitude for you!!
All o f you - the texts, messages and emails seriously make my day. I love talking with you all about non toxic living and getting to hear how it is positively impacting your lives. Thank you for being here :)
